Eunice Kennedy Shriver founded the National Special Olympics in the 1960s. President John F. Kennedy was her older brother. Shriver was also staunchly pro-life, and a member of Feminists for Life [link] and the Susan B. Anthony List [link]
Shriver passed away August 11, 2009. Hers was truly a life worth honoring. I'm sure Christ is blessing her right now for her life's beautiful work.
Here's a portrait of one of my other favorite pro-life feminists, Susan B. Anthony, also done in charcoal: [link]
